Glasurit®, a premium refinish paint brand of Surventis, will be supplied for the limited-production T70S and T70S GT
Just 16 vehicles are being produced, available in either track or road specification
Surventis’ sustainable approach complements Lola’s commitment to advanced manufacturing processes and pioneering sustainable materials
Surventis and Lola Cars announce that Glasurit®, a premium refinish paint brand of Surventis, will be the Official Paints and Coatings Partner of the T70S programme, a limited-production reimagining of Lola's iconic 1960s T70 race car.
The programme comprises 16 vehicles, available in either track or road specification (the T70S and T70S GT) respectively. The T70S is the ultimate competition version, supplied with an FIA Historic Technical Passport, with 530bhp and a top speed of 203mph. The T70S GT is supplied UK road-registered and optimised for drivability on road or track, with 500bhp and a top speed of 200mph. The T70S GT retains the fundamental DNA of the race car while incorporating subtle enhancements for usability.
Both cars use the Lola Natural Composite System (LNCS), a patent-pending bodywork material that is petrochemical-free, combining natural fibre with a plant-based resin. As part of the partnership, Surventis will supply its waterborne Glasurit coating system for both the composite components and metallic parts including primers, fillers, basecoats and clear coats. Built around Glasurit® 100 Line, the advanced refinish system has been selected for its colour precision, premium surface quality and efficient application characteristics. The collaboration also includes training on advanced application processes and spray technologies which mean less product is required and application is more time efficient, lowering environmental impact throughout the manufacturing process.
Mike Strydom, Technical Manager, Surventis Coatings Services UK, said: “With the Glasurit 100 Line, the T70S programme benefits from a coating system that combines premium surface quality with measurable sustainability advantages. For Lola and its customers, this means outstanding colour precision, durable finishes and highly efficient application processes, while supporting lower material consumption and a reduced environmental footprint.”
Matt Faulks, Executive Innovation Director of Lola Cars, said: “Our collaboration with Surventis is just one example of how we are working to ensure the T70S programme combines exacting historical fidelity with advanced manufacturing processes and pioneering sustainable materials. Surventis not only provides the perfect solution developed specifically for our requirements but one that is more sustainable both in terms of the ingredients used and the way it is applied, making them the ideal partner for this project.”
